It is a matter of great satisfaction to witness that the Indian community in and around Shanghai, under the umbrella of Indian Association-Shanghai is working as an important pillar of support, cooperation & exchange of ideas among fellow Indians; and as a strong link with the Diaspora. Indian Association also plays an important role in promotion and propagation of Indian values and acts as a bridge towards strengthening people-to-people contact.
Special efforts made towards bringing Indian ethos, value systems, appreciation for composite culture, respect for divergent views and cultures, among the younger generations is praiseworthy. I am sure that various activities and initiatives of Indian Association-Shanghai will contribute towards creating a peaceful and inclusive society based on the philosophy of वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् "the world is one family" .
It is a matter of great satisfaction that the partnerships and understandings developed by Indian Association-Shanghai with the local institutions and Chinese nationals are based on shared vision and common goals.
I compliment the entire team of Indian Association-Shanghai, particularly Shri Mukesh Sharma, the newly elected President for their sustained efforts and contributions. I also acknowledge with appreciation the continued guidance and support extended by the former Presidents, General Secretaries and all other office bearers.
